learning for the 21st century
Education Here was recently established as a CIC in 2018 by a group of volunteers in Herefordshire, who want to highlight the best of education innovation for the benefit of the local community. It began with one local parent who discovered the “Education Forward” book, learned about the national Big Education Conversation movement and decided to invite others in the community who might be interested in furthering education throughout the county. The result was the first Big Education Conversation - Hereford conference in September 2018 at Broadlands Primary school, and one of the first of four counties throughout the UK to hold such an event. Our primary aim: To facilitate local dialogue about how best to introduce education innovation throughout Herefordshire.
Who we are
Education Here consists of parents, governors, teachers and students who want to learn about alternative solutions that can provide innovation within our local schools. Our initial project is the research and development of a model for a project-based secondary school in Herefordshire. Please let us know if you are interested in the online forum to take part in the dialogue to help get this project off the ground.
