Researchers in Schools is delivered by The Brilliant Club, an award-winning charity that exists to widen access to highly-selective universities for pupils from under-represented groups. Through Researchers in Schools, PhD graduates become highly-effective classroom teachers, champions for university access and future subject leaders in the education sector.
Get involved! Power Up+ is a digital tool to support wellbeing in young people with SEND. It aims to support them in taking an active role in the decisions about their life, facilitate a level of independence and enable their voices to be heard through helping expression of feelings and emotion. It has been developed with feedback and input from young people with special educational needs, parents/carers, and Learning Disability clinicians within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. The tool is a web app and can be used on computers, laptops, smartphones and tablets as a secure space autonomously or with teachers and parent/carers. We are looking for SEN schools and colleges in the UK to help us test and develop the Power Up app. https://www.annafreud.org/what-we-do/schools-in-mind/research-and-opportunities-for-schools/power-up/
